GIZ leads implementation in partnership with TMA and ENABEL.
Working closely with the Programme Manager, the Programme Officer will track agreed actions and deadlines, keep records and monitoring data current, and follow up with consultants and partners. - Monitoring, reporting and consortium coordination Collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative results data, including gender-disaggregated data, and draft inputs for progress and annual reports. Maintain shared coordination tools with GIZ and ENABEL, support committee meetings, and compile evidence for audits and reviews.
- Stakeholder coordination Liaise with ECOWAS directorates, national ministries, customs administrations and other agencies. Coordinate workshops, training sessions and technical meetings with the Project Assistant, and follow up on agreed actions.
- Communications, visibility and knowledge management Prepare briefs, presentations and programme updates. Document lessons and good practices, contribute content to programme communications, and help meet EU and TMA visibility requirements.
- Gender, inclusion and safeguards Help integrate gender equality and inclusion into programme activities, with attention to women, youth and small-scale cross-border traders. Ensure safeguarding, environmental and climate considerations are addressed during implementation, and escalate concerns promptly.
Qualifications and Experience
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in International Trade, Development Studies, Economics or Business Administration.
- At least three years of relevant experience for postgraduate degree holders or five years for undergraduate degree holders in supporting donor-funded projects, with hands-on experience in project coordination, monitoring and reporting.

- Practical experience with data management, monitoring systems and results reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with project management tools.
- Good analytical, report-writing and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and within a multi-partner team.
- Initiative, self-motivation and a collaborative approach.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills
